Portland, ME – Catholic Charities Maine is pleased to announce Jessika T. Morin, M.D., has been named medical director of its Behavioral Health Network.
Dr. Morin is a Board-certified practitioner of family medicine. She was most recently the residential medical physician and medical director of the substance use disorder (SUD) program at Catholic Charities Maine’s St. Francis Recovery Center in Auburn. She is also the medical director of a three-year, $1 million Implementation Grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration to address the opioid crisis in Southern Maine.
In her previous role as medical director of Southern Maine Health Care’s Integrated Medication Assisted Treatment Substance Abuse Program and its Walk-in Services, Dr. Morin was named Provider of the Year in 2019. Much of her experience and expertise has been focused on substance use disorders and recovery in Maine and in Kansas, where she was an active-duty soldier and medical provider with the U.S. Army Medical Corp.
Dr. Morin earned a B.A. in biology from Wellesley College and a M.D. at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI.
