SANFORD — Catholic Charities Maine (CCM) will open its fourth thrift store in Sanford at the Center for Shopping on Thursday, April 18 at 10:00 am.
Threads of Hope, a Catholic Charities Maine Thrift Store, is designed to be a shopping experience everyone can feel good about. “Every penny of our proceeds goes directly to help fight poverty right here in Maine,” notes Stephen Letourneau, CEO. “When you shop here, everyone wins ─ your pocketbook, the planet and especially our own neighbors in need.”
The Sanford opening will mark the fourth location for CCM, with additional stores in Portland, Presque Isle, Caribou and another scheduled to open in Monticello on April 27th. Last year alone the three stores helped fund CCM’s 30+ programs that serve more than 50,000 people in need across Maine, including, but not limited to:
Threads of Hope relies solely on donations for its inventory and welcomes donations of gently worn clothing, shoes, accessories, furniture and books. Items may be brought to the store during regular business hours or to arrange for a pick-up of larger items, call (207) 956-1467.
The Sanford location will employ a staff of five. The store will be open Monday – Saturday from 10am – 7pm and Sunday from 10am - 5pm. For more information visit www.ThreadsOfHopeCCM.org.
