St. Elizabeth’s Child Development Center is committed to partnering with families to provide care and early intervention programs for young children, in a learning environment that is developmentally appropriate, nurturing and safe. We strive to foster the development of socialization skills, independence, a positive self-image, and promote the joy of life-long learning, through our thoughtful relationships with children, parents, colleagues and the community.
We believe children learn through every experience of every day, by being actively involved in their environment. All experiences must be well planned, based on best practice, incorporate the children’s interests, and be developmentally appropriate. Professionally trained teachers use a variety of forms of assessment to plan and adapt the curriculum to meet the children’s needs. Indoor and outdoor environments are arranged in a welcoming, safe and accessible manner for all children.
