Jessie Albert Dental & Orthodontic Center is named for a local woman, Jessie Albert. A community Vista volunteer, she was also the mother of six children in need of affordable dental care. Through her tireless efforts, and under the sponsorship of Catholic Charities Maine, the Jessie Albert Memorial Dental Center opened for business, in a railroad station donated by Bath Iron Works, in 1971. More than 1,200 children were served the first year, and the center continued to expand over the next three decades, adding Orthodontic care and moving to our current facility at 171 Congress Avenue in Bath, next to the Coastal Cancer Treatment Center.
